Due to continued growth plans and award of further contracts, Gael Force Engineering, part of the Gael Force Group who specialises in the building of marina pontoons, designing and building of our feed barge operations, as well as other aquaculture related engineering activities, are actively looking to recruit the following positions at our Inverness site: 

Service and Maintenance Engineers

We are looking for candidates who ideally have some experience working with installation, service and maintenance of equipment in feed barges or similar equipment in client premises. The duties will include general repairs, installation of new and replacement mechanical, electrical and feed system equipment. We are looking for candidates who are reliable, hardworking and able to demonstrate an ability to work safely and conscientiously as part of a team. You should have a high regard for safety and sound experience of working to stringent Health and Safety standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

=         Work to all relevant Company Policies and Procedures.

=         Installation of mechanical, electrical and feed systems.

=         Maintenance and fault finding on mechnical, electrical and feed systems as required.

=         Training client’s on operations of installed systems.

=         Surveying and specifying barge upgrades/maintenance to meet client’s requirements.

=         Participate in planning and programming project works.

=         Liaise with client on all aspects of ongoing site work.

=         Assist in preparation of pricing for small works as required.

=         Ensure all relevant QA documentation is completed prior to installation or handover as appropriate.

=         Ensure any Risks Assessments and Method Statements are produced where applicable.

=         Tasks as required within the Inverness yard when not on site.

=         Any other activities that can reasonably expected in support of Group business.

Job Requirements: Key Competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training

=         An Engineering Background is essential.

=         An electrical and/or mechanical background is essential.

=         Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical installations, maintenance and fault finding systems is essential.

=         Driving Licence is essential

=         A working knowledge of the Health and Safety legislation and best practice.

=         Experience of working with Quality Management Systems.

=         Reliability in terms of time management is core to all aspect of this job.

=         Ability to perform under pressure.

=         A strong work ethic, with good time keeping and minimal absence.

=         A flexible can do attitude and the ability to be a team player is necessary.

=         High standards of Honesty & Integrity.

=         Creativity in Product Development is advantageous

In return for working a 39 hour week, we are offering a salary up to £12.50-£14.00 per hour dependant on the experience and knowledge of the candidate, plus the option of overtime, staff discount and a contributory pension scheme.
