Warehouse Operative- Gael Force Marine Equipment (Inverness)

Due to further growth and awards of substantial contracts, Gael Force Marine Equipment, which supplies both to commercial and leisure customers, is actively looking to recruit an experienced warehouse operative. Based in the Inverness store, this role is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager and supervisor with providing great service by receiving deliveries of stock, the correct storing of stock, Pick and Pack orders, general warehouse maintenance, moorings production, splicing ropes and all other reasonable duties as required. The role may also require the successful candidate to provide cover for our delivery driver.

The successful candidate should have:

Essential

=         Previous experience in a warehouse role.

=         Full driving licence.

=         Ability to work under own initiative and function well as part of a team

=         IT competence.

=         Good verbal and written communication skills

=         Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

=         Ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.

=         Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety.

=         Ability to work under pressure.

=         Ability to follow procedures

o    Booking in,

o    Putting stock away,

o    Wire and rope spicing,

o    Forklift driving,

o    Making up and despatching orders,

=         Forklift certificate

=         Manual handling training.

Desirable

=         Able to splice a range of rope.

=         COSHH awareness

In return for working a 40 hour week, Gael Force Marine offers a competitive salary, staff discount and a contributory pension scheme. The salary offered will reflect the experience, skills and knowledge that the candidate can bring to the position but will range from £8.30-£9.34. Closing date Tuesday 31st July 2018.
