Due to continued growth plans and a very strong order book, Gael Force Engineering, part of the Gael Force Group who specialises in the building of marina pontoons, designing and building of our feed barge operations, as well as other aquaculture related engineering activities, are actively looking to recruit the following positions at our Inverness site:

Concrete Squad Foreman

We are looking for a candidate experienced in reinforced concrete construction, who is reliable, hardworking, self-motivated, with a high degree of supervisory and organisational skills.  You should also have a high regard for safety and sound experience of working to stringent Health and Safety standards.  Initially the successful candidate will work alongside our existing foreman to gain valuable knowledge and experience of our products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

=         Work to all relevant Company Policies and Procedures

=         Responsible for the utilisation and maintenance of all Concrete Form-work

=         Overall responsibility for all concrete construction including steel reinforcing, pumping, vibrating and finishing.

=         Coordinating the Concrete Squad & Supervisors to maximize productivity.

=         Ensuring QHSE requirements are met by the Concrete Squad & Supervisors.

=         Ensures subordinates have the training, the tools and the material required for their duties.

=         Assisting in pricing works to support sales activity.

=         Assist in the continuous development of all our products to improve quality, improve design and reduce production costs.

=         Any other activities that can reasonably expected in support of Group business.

Job Requirements: Key Competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training

=         Experience in managing a concrete construction squad is essential.

=         Experience of a wide variety of shuttering systems, including fabrication of is required.

=         People management skills

=         Time Management skills

=         Ability to perform under pressure

=         High Standard of Honesty and Integrity

=         A strong work ethic, with good time keeping and minimal absence.

=         An understanding of the marine environment is advantageous.

=         A trade background e.g. joinery is desirable.

In return for working a 39 hour week, we are offering a salary up to £14.49 per hour depending on the experience and knowledge of the candidate, plus the option of overtime, staff discount and a contributory pension scheme.
