Marine Centre Assistant Manager - Gael Force Marine Equipment (Glasgow) 

Gael Force Marine Equipment is a leading UK marine equipment supplier providing products and services to both leisure and commercial customers. Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit an experienced assistant manager who will support the Area Marine Centre Manager (AMCM) in the running of the Glasgow operation. This is a highly responsible position as the successful applicant will have to manage the day to day running of the marine centre.

Duties will include:

  • Management of staff and premises including the support of Area sales managers where appropriate.
  • Direct the moorings and warehouse functions, liaising closely with the relevant staff to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Identifying and acting upon sales opportunities in support of the wider Gael Force operations.
  • Identifying and organising stock requirements to achieve KPI’s for key customers.
  • Responsibility for cash handling, banking and the reconciliation of the takings in partnership with the HQ accounts function.
  • Working to, and ensuring that staff adhere to, Gael Force Policies and Procedures.
  • Assisting the AMCM and other GFME staff in all promotional activities.
  • Daily responsibility for Health and Safety within the Glasgow operation.

The successful candidate should have:


  • 3 – 5 years of experience in sales management.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and function well as part of a team.
  • High level of competence in IT.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.


  • Knowledge of commercial marine or aquaculture
  • Knowledge of marine chandlery
  • Forklift licence
  • Health & Safety qualification
