Stores Operative, Fusion Marine (Oban)

Fusion Marine Ltd, part of the award winning Gael Force Group, is well established as one of the leading manufacturers of high quality, maintenance free, professional equipment for marine and freshwater environments all over the world, particularly in the fish farming and hatchery industries.  Fusion Marine has an exciting opportunity for ideal candidate to join our growing production team and is looking to recruit a Stores Operative.

Based out of our Barcaldine facility which is close to Oban, we are looking for an experienced candidate to work and supervise our store and yard to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of all stock and delivery of high quality service to all our customers, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy at all times. It is imperative that this role works in partnership with our production teams and the wider Fusion and Gael Force personnel to provide all round high level customer service. You should also have a high regard for safety and sound experience of working to stringent Health and Safety standards.

The successful candidate should have:
Essential

  • Full driving licence.
  • Forklift operator’s experience
  • Ability to work under own initiative and function well as part of a team
  • IT competence, especially in Microsoft packages.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.
  • Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility.

Desirable

  • Forklift operator’s certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse/store role. 
  • Working knowledge of any relevant stores Order Processing Software.
  • An understanding of the marine environment is advantageous.

In return for working a 40 hour week, Fusion Marine offers a competitive salary, overtime, staff discount and a contributory pension scheme. The salary offered will reflect the experience and knowledge that the candidate can bring to this excellent opportunity but will be in the range of £8.50 -£9.50 per hour with the potential to increase further with completion of in-house training.
